1:1 Male Counselor

Camp Judaea is searching for a Male One-on-One Counselor to accompany a camper from July 3 through Sunday, July 31. Camp Judaea is an Israel-Centered Pluralistic Jewish Camp for kids ages 7–18. You'll need to be comfortable with daily Jewish and Hebrew services, prayers, and lots of fun!

Here's what you'll need to do as a Counselor:

• Assist the camper with daily tasks like waking up, getting dressed, and preparing for the day.
• Help with walking to and from activities and any occupational therapy needs.
• Support with bathroom needs, movement, and other tasks.
• Experience working with children with special needs is a plus!
• Provide assistance with any and all occupational needs throughout the day.
• Be with the camper all day, except for an hour break, days off and nights off within the campgrounds (depending on his needs).
• You'll have another counselor assigned to the camper, so you can take breaks and get the support you need.
• Meet with the camper and his family before camp to build connections and understand his needs.

• You’ll focus solely on the camper's needs: you're not responsible for other campers.

Salary: $2500
