Position Overview:
Jewish National Fund-USA seeks an experienced fundraising professional to grow the fundraising and donor base in the Southwest, with a particular focus on Central Texas. This position will focus largely on growing the Austin and San Antonio campaigns through relationship-building, one-on-one solicitations, stewarding and upgrading existing donors and cultivating new major prospective donors. This will include cultivation/fundraising programs, outreach, donor stewardship and working to build a strong presence in the area in collaboration with the Southwest Team for overall success and growth of the region. This fundraiser also will work closely with and manage the Women for Israel (WFI) Affinity Group in Austin. This position will be an integral, valued member of the Southwest Regional professional team and report to the Director, Central Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Solicit annual gifts from your portfolio of existing donors and develop meaningful ongoing professional relationships with these supporters.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with new donor prospects.
- Collaborate enthusiastically with lay leadership including managing the Women for Israel Committee and supporting the Board of Directors to leverage connections and engage them in achieving regional and national goals.
- Recruit participants for missions to Israel and attendees for the Jewish National Fund-USA Global Conference for Israel.
- Host Israeli affiliates and arrange for them to meet with appropriate donors and donor prospects.
- Manage and arrange cultivation and outreach programs including fundraising and appreciation events.
- Utilize the Salesforce database to manage and track donor relationships.
- Travel within the Central Texas territory to meet with partners and supporters regularly.
- Travel within the US and internationally, which may include Missions to Israel, Jewish National Fund- USA's Global Conference for Israel, and Staff Conference.
- Any other duties that your Supervisor may assign to you.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, or proven sales experience in a client driven business.
- Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, as well as an interest in advancing the organizations fundraising goals.
- Strong communication skills including experience in presenting and public speaking.
· Ability to work autonomously, but with a team-oriented mentality.
- Strong passion for Israel and knowledge of the Jewish Community in your region.
- Strong understanding of donor research, identification, cultivation and solicitation, and stewardship.
- A flexible and creative thinker that is able to find and create new giving opportunities for programs.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for events and meetings.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Zoom, and other technology platforms.
- Experience using a Client Relationship Management system like Salesforce is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $70,000-75,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
