AFN is seeking a seasoned communications and marketing professional with exceptional organization skills, a high emotional intelligence and proven track record of marketing, communications and development for a key leadership position guiding this high-growth, mission-driven organization.

The Communications and Marketing Associate (CMA) will play a pivotal role at AFN. Currently an organization with 4 staff,  the AFN team is poised to grow in the coming years. The organization is highly collaborative.  

The CMA's role is to partner with the Executive Director and the entire AFN team to ensure that the organization achieves and reports on grand deliverables, builds the organization’s capacity, messages its successes in an engaging way and realizes the exciting future that is envisioned for the organization.

The CMA will assist with ensuring that the AFN website is well-maintained, current, interesting, and relevant. The CMA will support the development and production of e-news and several hard copy mailings, maintain Mailchimp and track, report and interpret email and social media analytics on a regular basis and provide recommendations for new strategies. The CMA will create content for social media, general marketing materials as needed. Additionally the CMA will develop institutional calendars that share regularly scheduled events and special events plus donor lifecycle events with AFN and Nishmat. The CMA will attend in-person events to capture photos/videos and update website, social media, e-news

Additionally, the CMA will work closely with the Executive Director to provide Program and Event Support for Nishmat Alumnae Engagement. 

You are a great candidate for this job if you have:

  • Passion about Nishmat’s mission.
  • BA/BS and at least 5 years of significant marketing and technology experience;
  • Prior nonprofit management experiences;
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills;
  • Superior management skills;
  • Highly actualized sense of self and high emotional intelligence;
  • Familiarity with the Jewish nonprofit sector.
