Advertising Sales Executive

Mid-Atlantic Media (MAM), a growing media company based in Columbia, Maryland, has an opening for a media sales executive to join our team of revenue "sales hunters." A tremendous opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to start on day one with a significant, solid legacy book of business. Familiarity with Jewish community is helpful.

Responsibilities and Duties

Major focus on acquiring new advertising customers for digital and print media platforms. Secondarily, the media sales executive will be expected to manage an active, legacy book of advertising customers to reach established monthly budgets. The media sales executive will have the opportunity to sell across all of MAM's publishing titles, including Baltimore Jewish Times, Baltimore’s Child, Baltimore Style, Chesapeake Family Life, Frederick’s Child, Philadelphia Jewish Exponent, Philadelphia MetroKids, Pittsburgh Parent, Montgomery Magazine, Washington Family and Washington Jewish Week. The media sales executive will have the opportunity to sell MAM’s customized digital suite of non-publication related products. This is a chance to be the “one-stop shop” for all advertising prospects!  This position is an office working environment. 

Qualifications and Skills

Motivated to make money, competitive, excellent communication, high energy, works well under pressure, and multi-tasking. Successful Mid-Atlantic Media salespersons possess the ability to make thirty (30) plus prospective cold calls per day. Technical competencies including typing, familiarity with outlook, excel and CRM's. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in advertising sales preferred. Strong understanding of digital media is a plus. Familiarity with Jewish community, building customer relationships and cross-selling techniques is vital.

Typical 1^st year earnings for Mid-Atlantic Media salespeople are $60,000 plus.
