Temple Beth El, a USCJ Conservative Synagogue located in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a new Director of Programming and Engagement.  This role works closely with all of the Temple’s committees, staff, and Rabbi, to help vision and execute holiday programming, religious programming, enrichment, and other special programming.  The Director endeavors to find creative ways to engage congregants in temple life and to engage with others in our Jewish Community and beyond.  Temple Beth El is also home to the Beth El Civil Rights Experience, and the Director of Programming will work with the many visiting groups who come to explore this unique look at the Civil Rights era through a Jewish lens.  The role plays a big part in all of our temple communications, bulletins, and emails, as well as social media promotion.  The ideal candidate believes in community and collaboration and is a true team player.  Temple Beth El is a warm and welcoming congregation of just over 325 families, and we look forward to welcoming the right candidate to this wonderful place!    

Salary - $50-$60,000 range depending on experience
