? Collaborate with lead teachers, specials teachers, and other associate teachers
? Partner with parents and caregivers with professionalism and empathy
? Other duties as assigned in support of the greater school community.
? Teaching, guide, inspire, and nurture children in the early childhood program
? Differentiate instruction for a wide range of students’ abilities and interests
? Document student learning and growth throughout the school year
? Communicate regularly with parents via online updates, phone calls and/or email
? Collaborate with Learning/Social Work Services and outside specialists to coordinate individual educational plans
Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education required; M.A. preferred
? At least two (2) years of lead teacher experience
? Energy and the desire to learn and explore with teachers and children
? Awareness of Reggio inspired/Constructivist philosophy and approach
? Awareness of early literacy and math instruction
? Ability to embrace technology and new ways of extending students' learning and creative capacities; knowledge of Google Suite products
? Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administration to support and extend the objectives of the curriculum
? Excellent communication and organizational skills
? Comfort being part of a professional learning community
? Awareness of the cognitive, social, and emotional issues of early childhood age students
? Willingness to learn and grow professionally
? Appreciation of a diverse, pluralistic Jewish community
Physical Requirements:
? Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40 pound child.
? Often required to stand and sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat or crawl.
