Youth Programing Coordinator
B’nai Vail Congregation, Vail Colorado

B’nai Vail is looking for a Youth Programing Coordinator for a full-time
position with responsibilities for programing and administrative task. The
position could also be offered as a part-time (3 days per week plus Sunday
school) with reduced responsibilities and compensation.
Salary is $40,000 to $50,000 for the full-time position based on experience.

General Job Description:
The Youth Programing Coordinator is responsible for the strategic development
and execution of a wide range of meaningful family engagement experiences,
and the expansion of our reach to families not currently involved in Jewish
communal life in the Vail Valley.


Event and Program Planning


? Plan, implement, and coordinate all youth programing for B’nai Vail.
? Foster community through highly developed, appealing, and creative
events that are focused on the needs of the community, families, and
young children.

? Work collaboratively with organizational partners, families, and other
stakeholders in envisioning, planning, and executing innovative
programming.
? Coordinate and communicate Religious School and Hebrew School
programing throughout the year.
? Responsible for outreach and communication to encourage participation
from existing and new families.
? Create and implement plans/metrics that attract new families.
? Develop specific events and initiatives that help audiences engage more
deeply with Jewish communal life (specifically holidays, Jewish values,
customs, and traditions).
? Work collaboratively with the community on age-appropriate programming
to maintain strong connections with current members and new families.
? Manage all social media for youth programing.
? Determine and arrange for logistical support of all synagogue youth
activities, including volunteers.
? Collaborate with the Cantor and BBYO Advisor to develop events
throughout the year for children and teens
? Act as on-site support for Religious and Hebrew School sessions


Administration


? Develop and carry out a robust plan to keep families engaged between
events by soliciting ongoing feedback through one-on-one
conversations, email engagement, phone calls, and coffee meet ups,
etc.
? Manage all professional service contracts and staff involved with family
programming.
? Develop meet ups and outreach mechanisms that better inform the
organization about what types of programming families are interested in,
provide local opportunities for families to connect to each other and
Jewish life, and attract new families to the B’nai Vail Community.

Qualifications and Job Requirements


The ideal candidate must be extremely organized and possess strong
interpersonal and multi-tasking skills. The candidate must excel in
communication and collaborative skills to effectively work with clergy, staff, lay
leadership, volunteers, and members of the congregation.


? BA/BS degree
? Excellent organizational and communication skills
? Ability to problem solve and multi-task with numerous deadlines
? Tolerance for time-sensitive transactions and last-minute changes
? High energy, flexibility, and ability to meet deadline demands
? Strong attention to detail
? Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
? Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook)
? Knowledge and experience with Zoom meetings and webinars, Vimeo
and YouTube a plus
? Experience working with database platforms a plus
? Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some nights,
holidays, Shabbats, and Sundays when Religious School is in session.
(August through November). Travel may also be required.
