Executive Director
The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County is seeking a part-time (average 20 hours per week - Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays) Executive Director. The candidate should have financial and management skills to fulfill the Museum's mission: to present exhibits, programs, and publications, that celebrate, preserve, explore and illustrate, the rich and unique history of the Jewish residents of Monmouth County and its vicinity, and their contributions to the larger community. The Director will insure the progress, enable the growth, and support the future viability of the Museum. The Director will be the face of the Museum to the public and should demonstrate experience and public speaking, and building relationships with patrons, donors, and community partners.
This position reports to the Board of Trustees, and has the overall repsonsibility for Museum operations, and to secure funding to promote the mission of the Museum and implement its strategic goals and objectives. The candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Arts Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Humanities or related fields, and demonstrate prior experience in fundraising and grant writing.
Salary is commensurate with experience and within budget restraints.
