Summary

Located in Washington, DC. Partially remote work is possible. Reporting directly to our Assistant Director and indirectly to our Associate Director and Executive Director. Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to our constituency. Requires knowledge of the organization and its policies and procedures.

Typical Duties

  • Develop and implement ACF’s communications plan in collaboration with consultants, which includes envisioning and designing ACF’s media strategy, website, and e-communications
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with marketing and communications-related staff, consultants, and vendors
  • Direct organization-wide communications to advance ACF’s mission with different audiences
  • Manage the ACF website to ensure that the content is consistent, coherent, and navigable
  • Oversee the writing, production, design, and distribution of a wide variety of publications and collateral materials
  • Develop, write, edit, and distribute electronic newsletters, press releases, statements, and other e-communications
  • Manage social media presence
  • Develop and manage communications and event marketing calendar
  • Participate in relevant partner conferences as a staff person, which includes leading designated workshops and presentations
  • Contribute to the unit effort by accomplishing related duties as required

Required Education and Experience

  1. Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public affairs, English, or related field from 4-year college or university
  2. 2+ years of related experience required.
  3. Demonstrated ability to write clearly/succinctly for different purposes on complex topics
  4. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  5. Technical skills, including Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Word Press, and basic HTML
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and an eye for design
  7. Familiarity with email marketing systems, content management systems, and the ability to learn new programs quickly
  8. Demonstrated project management and time management skills
  9. Passion for Israel activism and leadership with experience in campus activism and leadership a plus
  10. Detail-oriented, self-motivated and self-starting, organized, reliable, team player, proactive, strong work ethic, leadership skills; ability to multitask
