Beth Adam is a congregation with a strong identity whose mission is simple: to be a unique community that integrates Jewish tradition and humanistic principles. We are looking for the Rabbi who will lead us confidently as we write our next chapter together. We appreciate your interest in us.
As Beth Adam's Founding Rabbi and Rabbi Chief Executive (RCE), Robert Barr, approaches retirement, while we will miss Rabbi Barr, we see this as an opportunity to secure the years ahead and to ensure our continuing success as a humanistic Jewish community. The very process of preparing for our next rabbi is, we believe, a good example of Beth Adam's philosophy in action. We invite you to take note in our job brochure of the preparations we have made and the fact that we heavily involved our membership from the start. The RCE at Beth Adam is similar in duties to what is often called the Senior Rabbi at other congregations. We believe the title RCE emphasizes the vision-setting and strategy-setting roles as well as the decision-making authority that are inherent in the role. The RCE reports directly to Beth Adam’s Board of Trustees.
Beth Adam has always been mindful and responsive to the needs of our members. You can expect us to be similarly responsive to your needs and to develop a compensation strategy together that works best for us all, but here are a few basics: Base salary is $110,000 - $130,000. Additional benefits such as health insurance, retirement, professional expenses, etc. will be negotiated in our direct conversations. If you would like to apply for the Rabbi Chief Executive position at Congregation Beth Adam, please submit a cover letter that describes your interest in our congregation along with your curriculum vitae and a communication sample (can be writing, audio, or video) to [email protected].
For more information about the position or our search process, feel free to email us at this address or call us at 513-985-0400. For more information about Congregation Beth Adam, please visit our website at www.bethadam.org.
