CAMERA seeks a full-time Christian Media Analyst to expand the work of the Partnership of Christians and Jews in monitoring and countering misinformation about Israel and the Jewish people promoted by churches, para-church organizations and news outlets that serve the worldwide Christian community. Attention is paid to the church world in general, but the work focuses on countering efforts to promote anti-Israel propaganda in American and European evangelical communities. The individual must be a strong writer, rigorous researcher and someone who collaborates well with colleagues. The person will report to the Director of CAMERA’s Partnership of Christians and Jews.

Specific Responsibilities:

Research, write and publish articles that expose Christian antisemitism and anti-Zionism.

Monitor and counter anti-Israel propaganda and theology promoted by Palestinian Christians in Western church environments.

Promote an accurate understanding of the Arab-Israeli conflict, Israeli and Jewish history and the status of Christians in Israel and Muslim-majority environments.

Equip Christians to counter anti-Israel propaganda in their faith communities, with an emphasis on the Evangelical community.

Provide content for the CAMERA website, the website of CAMERA’s Partnership of Christians and Jews and the Partnership’s social media.

Speak to community groups and at events and meetings.

Requirements for the position include:

Strong research, writing and editing skills and experience.

A minimum of a four-year degree in a relevant field such as Middle East Studies, politics, theology, or church history is preferred.

Strong knowledge of history and politics as it relates to the Middle East, Israel, and the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Ability to work productively with other team members.

Demonstrated interest and experience in Jewish-Christian relations.

Journalism experience is a plus.

Availability for occasional travel as needed for conferences or speaking engagements.

Commitment to the goals of CAMERA.

Salary and Benefits: Salary is competitive with similar non-profits and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Location: CAMERA is headquartered in the greater Boston area.  There is a preference for the successful applicant to be located in the Boston area, but applicants who live elsewhere will be considered for remote work.

Applicants should send their CV, cover letter and a writing sample to
