Marketing & Outreach Manager

Position Reports to: Director of Innovation & Initiatives
Position Start date: July 2025
Salary: $50,000-$60,000 depending on experience. Competitive benefits package including Health insurance, retirement match, school holidays & breaks, summer Fridays, vacation time & tuition discount.
Position Summary: The Marketing & Outreach Manager is a key member of the Denver JDS Advancement team and is a strategic, creative, and data-driven professional responsible for elevating Denver JDS’s brand and driving engagement through integrated marketing and communications initiatives. This role leads content development, digital marketing, and campaign execution while supporting enrollment and development goals. By leveraging analytics and maintaining a cohesive brand narrative, the Marketing & Outreach Manager ensures that the school’s mission and values are powerfully conveyed across all platforms. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing and Data Analysis:
- Develop and implement data-informed marketing strategies aligned with school-wide goals.
- Oversee digital marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns, website content, and digital advertising
- Track and manage digital marketing budgets
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversion rates, social media engagement, and lead generation
- Optimize marketing tactics using insights from data to increase engagement and campaign effectiveness
- Partner with Admissions to explore and implement advertising and outreach opportunities for prospective families.
Content Creation and Management:
- Write, edit, and curate compelling content across platforms including the website, blog, newsletters, social media, and print
- Execute the creation of video content and photo assets for school communications and promotions
- Manage contractors including photographers, videographers, and marketing/design consultants
- Ensure all content reflects brand standards and storytelling best practices
Design and Brand Management:
- Design digital and print materials for events, marketing, and school communications using Canva, Adobe, and other tools
- Maintain brand consistency across the website, email signatures, social media, and school communications
- Collaborate with the Engagement Manager to ensure all community events reflect DJDS’s standards of excellence
- Represent DJDS at community outreach and networking events
Internal Collaboration:

Meet regularly with the Directors of Admission and Development to ensure marketing strategies align with recruitment and fundraising goals

Collaborate with Admission to create targeted marketing collateral and support recruitment campaigns

Partner with Development to craft donor-focused communications and storytelling that inspires philanthropy

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with faculty and staff to identify marketing-worthy moments within the school

Identify opportunities to highlight educational excellence and Jewish values in school programming and community life

Ability to "manage up" and hold colleagues accountable to timelines and deliverables when needed
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across diverse audiences
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multi-phase projects in a fast-paced environment
- Independent, proactive, and self-motivated with excellent follow-through
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms, including Google Suite, social media, Canva, and basic website management
- Experience with Mailchimp, Finalsite, or similar tools is a plus
- Budget management capabilities
- Familiarity with the education or non-profit sector is strongly preferred
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing data-informed marketing strategies
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills in support of admissions, development, and institutional communications
- Ability to articulate and represent the mission of Denver Jewish Day School.
- Experience in Jewish, educational, or non-profit environments is a plus
