Golda Och Academy, recognized as one of the top Jewish day schools in the country, is a vibrant learning community that focuses on the individual intellectual, social, and spiritual needs of each child. Golda Och Academy has thrived for nearly six decades because of the generosity of its special community of alumni, parents, grandparents, foundation partners, and friends. The school has celebrated momentous fundraising achievements over the years, including the successful completion of a $32 million capital and endowment campaign in 2015 and the securing of a $10 million challenge gift in 2021 dedicated to faculty excellence. With these successes, GOA is proud to have one of the largest endowments among Jewish day schools in North America. 
By joining GOA’s Development team, you will join a rich tradition of tzedakah in our community and develop meaningful relationships with volunteers, school administrators, and donors. Successful candidates will work well independently and collaboratively, possess strong organizational skills allowing them to oversee multiple concurrent projects, and have demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships in a tight-knit community.  This position is a primarily on-site role. COVID-19 Vaccination is also required.

  • Support the Director of Institutional Advancement in coordinating activities and projects related to donor engagement  and stewardship, including, but not limited to donor events, site visits, donor communications, and gift proposals.  
  • Oversee and collaborate with a group of school volunteers in the planning, logistics, marketing, and fundraising for the school’s annual Spring Gala.  
  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of donor special events.
  • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors by designing and executing customized cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies, with a focus on meeting annual financial and participation goals.
  • Support the Director of Institutional Advancement by serving as a thought partner around donor engagement strategies.
  • Provide project management support as needed in the Development office.  


  • 3-5 years experience in nonprofit fundraising
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects  
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent donor relations and customer service skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.  
  • Familiarity with Jewish day school and/or Jewish community fundraising  
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Office and Google suite.   
  • 100% on-site position for the first 4 months.  Depending on business needs, after 4 months, this position may be able to be partially remote. 
  • Some evenings and weekends are required.
