Hebrew School & Sunday School Teacher (Part-Time)
Congregation Kol Ami – Cherry Hill, NJ

Congregation Kol Ami is seeking warm, engaging, and enthusiastic educators to join our dedicated and supportive team for the 2026–2027 school year!

Position Details:

• Grade Hebrew School: Tuesdays, 4:00 PM – 6:15 PM
• Grade Sunday School: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
• Dates: September 2026 through May 2027
• Location: Cherry Hill, NJ
• Compensation: Competitive salary, based on experience

There are opportunities to teach for one day or both Tuesdays and Sundays.

About the Role:
We are looking for teachers who can create a positive, meaningful, and interactive learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate(s) will help students strengthen their Hebrew reading skills, deepen their familiarity with Hebrew prayers, and foster a love for Jewish learning and community.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Hebrew reading and prayer skills
• Lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons on Jewish American history and heroes, mitzvot and values, Jewish life-cycle events, and Jewish holidays
• Encourage student participation and build a supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with clergy and education staff as part of a team

Requirements:

• Ability to read Hebrew
• Familiarity with Hebrew prayers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children (especially in an educational or religious school setting)
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
