RootOne is an innovative, rapidly growing initiative that maximizes the number of North American teens participating in immersive Israel travel experiences and maximizes the impact that those experiences have on the teens themselves. Research shows that outside of Jewish day school (which only a small percentage of Jewish teens in North America attend), there is no greater impact on a young person’s Jewish identity formation than an Israel trip with their peers.

RootOne seeks a dynamic full-time Senior Manager, Program Incubation as an integral member of our team key to the success of our growth strategy. Charged with maximizing the number of North American Jewish teens who participate in immersive Israel travel experiences, RootOne will both increase and diversify the types of Israel experiences available for a rapidly widening and diversifying population of Jewish teens.
The successful candidate will lead strategy development and plan implementation to launch new Israel experiences that meet the needs and interests of Jewish teens and their families, with a particular focus on Jewish teens who are under-engaged in Jewish life. This will be accomplished through a strategic partnership of US-based trip organizers, educational content experts, and Israeli tour operators.
Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Operations and working closely with RootOne’s Director of Israel Partnerships and the Educational Assets Manager (based in Israel), the Senior Manager will partner with both existing Youth Serving Organizations, Residential Camps, JCCs and communities to launch a new Israel experience based on their educational point of view and mission.

This position will:
- Serve as the lead professional in conceptualizing, designing, developing, launching, and maintaining new Israel experiences that are relevant and compelling to Jewish teens
- Develop and execute strategy for outreach, scouting, evaluating, selecting, and on-boarding of quality and innovative organizations, trip providers, professionals, and content experts to form partnerships that will drive the creation and launch of each new initiative
- Incubate and nurture new experiences to become scalable and sustainable initiatives by leveraging RootOne’s vast resources, expertise, and networks
- Guide newly incubated programs regarding RootOne’s quality requirements and compliance
- Understand and gain access to the Israel teen travel ecosystem to curate the right partners for each new initiative
- Manage a budget for financial and infrastructure grant support for incubation programs
- Manage the day-to-day interaction with the incubation participants and provide continued strategic guidance to participants in areas such as recruitment and marketing, finance, overall strategy, operations, etc
- Connect incubated programs with relevant resources and partners
- Measure and report on the success of program initiatives and identify areas for improvement
- Provide information for management reporting and prepare reports as necessary.
Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies
- 8+ years of experience in program management, social entrepreneurship, informal education or related fields
- Highly creative, resourceful, strategic, and enthusiastic; able to identify new opportunities and solutions
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience with data collection, management, and analysis; capacity to translate data into understandable and compelling presentations for varied target audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions
- Knowledge of business and financial planning, budget management, and resource allocation
- Technical skills and experience with Salesforce and other data tools
- A self-directed professional who has passion, humility, integrity, a positive attitude, and the ability to develop relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
- A team player who works cross-functionally and can manage internal and external relationships

- Competitive salary in the range of $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience
