The Jewish Cemetery and Burial Association of Greater Pittsburgh (www.jcbapgh.org) is seeking a full time administrative professional to join the staff of this growing cemetery association.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary operations professional for organization that manages Jewish cemeteries; report to the Executive Director and often liaise with Assistant
- Carry out day-to-day operations of the organization, including processing donations and invoices, responding to general inquiries and managing payroll
- Manage communications with families
- Manage contractors and vendors, including grave openers, seasonal landscapers and firms working on capital projects
- Coordinate burials with funeral homes and grave opener
- Coordinate two fundraising appeals each year, including liaising with the printer, potential donor lists and the mailing house, as well as tracking donations
- Maintain databases, including AirTable and CemSites and coordinate website updates
- Assist Executive Director with the Board, including setting up and facilitating Zoom meetings and with communications
Qualities that we are seeking in an organized self-starter include efficiency, reliability, responsiveness and sensitivity. Skills we are seeking include common software usage.
