Position Summary:

As a Development Executive in UJA’s Wall Street Division, you’ll oversee a multi-million dollar portfolio of gifts from members of New York’s Wall Street and financial services community as part of a larger Wall Street & Financial Services team that raises $35+ million annually. You’ll engage current and prospective donors in UJA’s work through face-to-face solicitations, large- and small-scale fundraising events, and volunteer opportunities. You’ll also assist the Wall Street Division in formulating a long-term strategy for engaging the broader financial community.

Major Responsibilities:

· Educate donors and prospective donors about the mission of UJA-Federation of New York in ways that inspire them to give. You’ll accomplish this through one-on-one meetings, fundraising events, educational programs, service projects, agency visits, and travel opportunities.

· Develop and implement appropriate fundraising strategies to increase the dollars raised for the annual campaign, capital campaign, and legacy campaign. This includes thinking strategically about the wall street community and working closely with colleagues across the entire fundraising team to grow the donor base across industry verticals.

· Play a key role in a variety of fundraising and engagement events, including the signature Wall Street Dinner held every December which is the organization’s largest fundraising event of the year.

· Develop programming for the leadership groups that create a pipeline of committed donors and leaders in the bankruptcy world.

· Maintain records of donor engagement and evaluate progress regularly with supervisor

· Develop and update research on individuals and companies in the Wall Street Division portfolio, as well as philanthropic trends in the financial community. Includes identification of viable prospects through outreach and relationship-building activities, and reading newspapers, trade publications, journals, and other related materials to remain generally informed.


· Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred

· Five years or more of post-college work experience.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Strong critical thinking and analytic abilities.

· Experience coordinating events.

· Knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community and passion for UJA’s mission.

· Ability to initiate and follow through on self-defined goals and objectives while remaining part of a collaborative team
