Position Summary       

Looking to cut your teeth with the world’s largest local philanthropy, known for its fundraising acumen? Join UJA’s Westchester office and learn from some of the best-in-class in institutional advancement. The Westchester Women’s Manager is responsible for engaging, cultivating, and soliciting Westchester women through a variety of briefings, events, and face-to-face conversations.  This position reports to the Westchester Campaign Director.


Major Responsibilities

  • Grow the Westchester Women’s donor base; identify and cultivate women with major gifts capacity and others for first-time and increased giving.
  • Develop and implement appropriate fundraising strategies to raise additional funds for the annual campaign.
  • Develop and plan new major gifts Women’s events in Westchester.
  • Educate donors and prospects about the mission of UJA-Federation through one-on-one cultivation activities, fundraising events, educational programs, and mitzvah projects.
  • Organize agency site visits, volunteer activities, missions and other meaningful engagement activities.
  • Work in partnership with Westchester Women’s chair to identify and implement priorities and strategies for the region.
  • Oversee the Westchester Women's Executive Committee.
  • Involve lay leadership strategically, providing professional support to lay committees. This includes agenda setting, preparing reports and presentations, writing meeting notes, and providing necessary follow-up.
  • Supervise staff; provide guidance on donor engagement, plan strategy, discuss career goals, strengthen team dynamics.
  • Work as an engaged member of the Westchester team, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Serve as the liaison between Westchester and New York City Women’s Campaign to share information and provide regional representation as appropriate.



  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7-8 years minimum work experience to include significant, demonstrable fundraising experience, and face-to-face and phone solicitation.
  • High degree of comfort with high-net-worth donors.
  • A people person and masterful communicator; strong written, verbal and listening skills who has a knack for understanding others.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • A team player with the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledgably and passionate about issues facing the Jewish community in Westchester and beyond.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter.


Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $89,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
