Come Teach at Beit Rabban!

In the Talmud, beit rabban, which literally means “house of our rabbis,” is where students would go to learn the wisdom of our tradition and prepare to engage Jewishly with the world. Beit Rabban, TBZ’s after school Jewish education program, is for members in grades K-7. We engage our children and families in meaningful, joyful and experiential learning. We strive to grow young Jews who will value learning, be curious about their link in the Jewish chain of history, think critically about their role in the present moment, and be empowered to create the future.

We are searching for creative and passionate teachers for the 5783 school year to engage our learners in creative Hebrew learning, cultural explorations and projects that matter. Together, we have a tremendous opportunity to create an exciting and vibrant year of learning, help young people find meaning in their Jewish identity and support families in engaged Jewish living.

Beit Rabban meets on Wednesdays from 4-6pm.

Responsibilities include:

  • Hachana: Orientation
  • Mifgash: 2 hours of weekly teaching and prep
  • Pegisha: 8 monthly staff meetings, with dinner!
  • Mid-Year check-ins with parents (virtual/in-person/phone)
  • End of Year reflections for students (written)

Compensation includes:

  • Pay commensurate with experience
  • Single adult membership to TBZ and one High Holiday ticket
  • Abundant curricular and planning support from Rav Tiferet!
