Temple Beth Tikvah of Greenacres, Florida is seeking to hire a Synagogue Administrative Director for our forward looking, multi-generational, egalitarian Conservative congregation. 

In our 41st year, the candidate will report to the Board of Directors and the Synagogue President. The candidate will oversee day-today activities of the synagogue by supporting lay leadership, managing office and maintenance staff, as well as outside vendors and contractors, to provide effective business and financial operations, consistent with the policies and procedures established by the Board.

Our mission is to meet the needs of all generations of Jewish people and make TBT relevant for them while continuing to offer the programs and services appreciated by our current congregants.

The Candidate will focus on creating and managing new and innovative programs that encourage every person to feel connected, experience meaningful engagement, and find a “second” home within our congregation.

The Candidate functions as a concierge and ambassador for the congregation, and therefore must have the ability to form meaningful relationships with our members. Job responsibilities include:

  • Supervise the day-to-day management of the synagogue's administrative affairs, facility and ground security, building maintenance, repair and renovation. Serve as the first point of contact for synagogue vendors.
  • Work closely with the Finance Committee of the Board to balance use of financial resources relative to annual budget as well as long-term fiscal goals. Negotiate with and manage outside vendors, suppliers and contractors.  Oversee technology needs in a cost-effective way that maintains date security.
  • Manage membership onboarding, retention and delinquencies.
  • Provide administrative support to Rabbinic staff and lay leaders.
  • Manage performance of office staff.
  • Provide logistical support for all Shabbat, life-cycle, High Holy Day services and synagogue activities.
  • Utilize ShulCloud platform, Constant Contact, social media and Quickbooks for improving and implementing process and communication.
  • Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the synagogue's constitution and by-laws.



  • A bachelor’s degree (Jewish Education, Social Services, etc.) preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of success in similar or relevant positions.
  • A knowledge of Jewish practices, holidays, and synagogue community.
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with leadership, including the Board of Directors.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of three years senior experience in an egalitarian congregation or a Jewish organization with a facility to manage.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel & Outlook etc..)
  • Familiarity with Shul Cloud software is very desirable.

Job Type: Full-time, salaried


  • Salary range - $60,000 - $70,000 (based on credentials and experience)

  • Monday through Friday (may transition to Sunday through Thursday)

Work Location: Greenacres, Florida

Work Remotely: Some days possible, negotiable
