Summary:
Jewish Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon & Warren Counties, NJ is looking for a part-time (approximately 20 hours/week) Administrative Associate. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of philanthropy and community planning while gaining valuable experience in many aspects of non-profit administration.
The successful candidate will be able to handle all aspects of working closely with the Campaign Manager in advancing our community engagement and fundraising efforts. The candidate must be enthusiastic about interacting with donors and volunteers and be a quick study when learning new software programs, specifically learning how to work with a donor database (CRM). The candidate must be very detail oriented and a team player.
Community Fundraising and Engagement:
The Administartive Associate will assist in the successful execution of all fundraising events by working with relevant staff and lay leaders on giving/pledge status of event attendees in advance of events, as well as developing and managing lists of invitees and attendees. During events they will assist with registration, set-up and clean-up and will engage with donors.
The Administartive Associate will provide excellent customer service by responding independently and in a timely manner to donor questions and will perform administrative tasks related to donor requests as necessary.
Using CRM database, the Administrative Associate will be responsible for working with the Campaign Manager and other staff to create all mailing lists for direct mail solicitations, holiday greetings and thank you notes and to identify prospects for fundraising efforts. They will also generate gift acknowledgements.
Database Management:
The Administartive Associate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of donor records and giving histories. They will enter all pledges and work with the Financial Services Manager to conduct gift reconciliations.
Using the CRM database, the Administartive Associate will create a monthly campaign status report for review by the Campaign Cabinet and Board of Directors, as well as all other reporting required for analysis and advancement of fundraising campaigns.
They will also usher matching gifts through the process of applying for and receiving the matches, and will update database procedures as needed to conform with best practices.

Bachelor’s degree preferred
CRM experience preferable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional organizational skills
Experience with software programs including Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational goals
