Addlestone Hebrew Academy community day school offers the opportunity for two energetic and passionate teachers - or a teaching couple - to positively impact a small, yet thriving, Southern Jewish community. Responsibilities will include Judaic programming and instruction in grades 1-8 as part of a Judaic team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should possess a strong Judaics background and understanding of Modern Orthodox or Mesorati observance.
Prior teaching experience with elementary and middle school students is always an asset, though not required.
Ideal candidates are positive role models, who will develop positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
Conversational Hebrew fluency is essential.

Addlestone Hebrew Academy (AHA) is one of the oldest Jewish day schools in the United States and the only Jewish Day School in Charleston, South Carolina. Addlestone welcomes and respects all levels of Jewish observance and embraces the concept of Derech Eretz. Addlestone provides an excellent secular and Jewish education for students 12 months through 8th grade, and prepares them to become successful, productive and inquisitive leaders by integrating Jewish values and ethics throughout our curriculum. We encourage students to develop their Jewish identity – proud of their religion, heritage, and the land of Israel - with the confidence and skills to become model citizens in a rapidly-changing world.
