Organizational Background

The American Society of the University of Haifa (ASUH) is a U.S. nonprofit organization, whose mission is to showcase, celebrate, and raise funds for the programs of the University of Haifa in Israel.

Uniquely positioned, the University of Haifa is located in a city, atop a mountain, and by the Sea. As a result, the University draws on its surroundings and distinct eco-systems to serve as a world-class location for teaching, research, study, and active community engagement across many disciplines.

In the U.S., ASUH serve as vital connection to University of Haifa.  Partners, supporters, and U.S. communities benefit from strengthening relations between the U.S. and the University of Haifa.

Position Summary

Reporting to the CEO, the ASUH Director, Operations (Director) serves as a dynamic and highly effective manager of internal operations; an active planner, and a coordinator across multiple disciplines to keep the work of ASUH moving forward.

The Director is accountable for compliance of ASUH as a U.S. 501c3. The Director actively manages an outsourced Charitable Registrations provider and related process. The Director also directly manages the full Human Resources lifecycle, and manages a Technology services provider and related projects. The Director manages ASUH's Financial Controller, and drives the annual budget development process.

The Director works closely with the CEO and with the Vice President of Development to manage and coordinate fundraising operations. ASUH fundraising engagements include unrestricted and restricted giving, from individual donations (in-person and online), grants, planned giving, annual appeals, and special campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be based in or close to New York. Will consider remote employment for the right candidate.

Salary Range:  $120,000 - $140,000 pending experience + generous benefits.
