Freedom School teachers are responsible for planning and teaching a grade-band of students (e.g 4/5) as well as co-planning and co-leading all-school learning programs with the entire team. Freedom School meets primarily Shabbat (Saturday) mornings and during holiday celebrations.
We are looking for inspired and inspiring teachers who

- love teaching Torah, prayer, Jewish values, and doing justice work
- are excited to experiment with creative and experiential forms of Jewish education in a non-traditional setting
- value collaboration, flexibility, and being part of a dynamic work environment
- are eager to be part of a spiritual, musical, and relationship-centered Jewish community
This is a part-time, hourly position; salary is $50-65/ hour for teaching, $25-$30/hour for planning, commensurate with experience. Each session is between 2-4 hours of teaching and requires 1-3 hours of planning and meeting before/after. The Freedom School meets in-person in San Francisco. All staff are required to be vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19.
