Position Overview
Temple Solel seeks an enthusiastic and organized Religious School Coordinator to support the
administrative and programmatic needs of the Temple Solel Religious School. This part-time position is critical
to the smooth operation of the Religious School, including scheduling, communications, event
coordination, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Tasks
• Develop the Religious School and Zoom Hebrew calendars in coordination with the Religious
School Director.
• Manage student registration: enter records into ShulCloud and maintain an organized hard-
copy registration book.
• Maintain and update attendance records, grade-level spreadsheets, and tzedakah tracking in
ShulCloud weekly.
• Support the Religious School Director by attending staff meetings and administrative
functions.
Communication
• Create, update, and distribute the weekly teacher newsletter and school communications (via
Canva, Constant Contact, and other tools).
• Send weekly reminders to teachers and madrichim and distribute the Religious School
newsletter every Friday after reviewing key highlights with the Religious School Director.
• Design digital flyers to accompany newsletters, school emails, and community
announcements.
• Answer phone calls and greet visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment at Temple Solel.
Technology and Tools
• Proficiently use ShulCloud, Canva, Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office Suite to complete
administrative and creative tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in ShulCloud, Canva, Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office Suite (or a willingness
to learn).
• Experience in event planning or working in an educational or synagogue setting is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while taking initiative on individual tasks.
