We are looking for Bet/Grade 2 teachers Tuesdays 3:45pm - 5:45pm and Thursdays 3:45pm - 5:45pm - You could teach both or either.
You: Fun, organized, kind, excited about Judaism.
Us: a Conservative synagogue Hebrew School devoted to content-rich learning, creativity and arts, a place to belong and be valued for who you are, mastery of Hebrew reading AND modern language, very organized Hebrew School with excellent staff
Our Hebrew School is growing and we need more wonderful teachers.
The Curriculum:
HEBREW: Kids have begun learning how to read Hebrew in the previous year using all vowels and half the letters of the Alef Bet. This year in Bet they finish learning all the letters and practice polishing their Hebrew decoding. Plus they learn vocabulary for the classroom, family, colors, body, and more!
JUDAICS: holidays as they arise; plus a major focus on Israel - its purpose, its people, cultures, visionaries, places and some of the complexities and frictions. Kids learn about some history, geography, food (and cook and eat!), kid's favorite activities in Israel and more.
Teachers find Kane Street Synagogue Hebrew School a great, rewarding place to teach under the supervision of Rabbi Val Lieber
We also have an opening to teach Pre-K Thursdays 3:45pm - 5:15pm as well as Alef/Grade 1 Tuesdays 3:45pm - 5:45pm
