Position overview:

Jewish National Fund- USA is looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and organizational support for the JNF accounting department. This is a full-time position that is based out of our Rockville Centre, NY office.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Account Receivable Director, provides administrative support to the Account Receivable department.
  • Manage all the matching gifts platforms, find donations, verify & confirm requests, follow up with pending requests and update fundraisers and donors if requested.
  • Process donations that arrive via check or ACH.

·        Update mailing records for returned pledge letters and provide a list of write offs or corrections for old open pledges.

·        Prepare batches for Accounts Receivable to create.

·        Obtain backups for several third-party platforms.

  • Complete verification forms for donors and organizations.
  • Provide information for grants and donations for different institutions.
  • Reconcile monthly reports to ensure accuracy of Salesforce records.
  • Process end of month reports and Salesforce daily closing.
  • Assist by pulling documents for audit request.
  • Process check refunds for donors.
  • Return incorrect routed mailing to donors.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Assist with administrative duties and special projects as directed.
  • Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

You have:

  • BA/BS degree is preferred
  • Superb interpersonal skills including communication and organizational skills 
  • Superior customer service and telephone etiquette 
  • Must be extremely dependable and be able to work quickly and accurately 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task projects in order to meet deadlines and manage activities of a busy office 
  • Must be flexible and able to accommodate last minute requests 
  • Must be very comfortable with technology.
  • Strong computer skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom). Knowledge of Salesforce/database preferred, but we will train. Basic math/accounting skills are a must.

 

Compensation:

$40,000-$43,000

 

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
