Development Manager

Lost Tribe is seeking a motivated and skilled Development Manager to join our small but passionate team. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and highly organized professional with experience in nonprofit development, who can support our fundraising efforts. Salary: $55,000-65,000 USD

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the grant pipeline including research, draft-writing, and submission of proposals and reports

• Coordinate communication with foundations, donors, and philanthropic partners

• Maintain and update the organization’s CRM donor database

• Track and manage donor engagement, stewardship, and follow-ups

• Assist in developing and implementing the annual fundraising strategy

• Support the CEO in preparing materials and reports for board meetings

• Ensure timely and professional correspondence with funders and prospective donors

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising preferred

• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

• Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, Blackbaud, or similar CRM systems)

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

• Knowledge of or experience of Judaism or in the Jewish communal or philanthropic world preferred

• Familiarity with remote work tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack)

• Fully remote

• Occasional in-person meetings and events (a few times per year)
