Role Overview

In May 2020, Hillel International launched Hillel Global Giving Week, a five-day movement-wide campaign to grow the fundraising capacity of every Hillel worldwide. Last year, this signature digital campaign raised over $3.4 million for the Hillel movement to support Jewish students throughout the world.  

The Hillel International Advancement team is seeking an intern who will primarily focus on supporting the 2023 HIllel Global Giving Week, which will take place May 1-5. In addition to supporting Hillel Global Giving Week, you will also have the opportunity to work on ad hoc projects associated with the Advancement Field Services portfolio. Additionally, this position will work with members of the Campaign Services team to advance how Hillel International can support the fundraising capabilities of local Hillels across the movement. This internship is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about the variety of Hillels across the movement, can bring creativity and fresh ideas, and is excited to be part of the team that helps run a multimillion dollar campaign.

Advancement Field Services Intern, will report to the Director of Advancement Field Services. 

What You’ll Do

  • Learn the backend of the new fundraising platform for the Hillel Global Giving Week Campaign and become familiar with the frontend user experience. 
  • Assist with recruitment for the campaign and track Hillel participation.
  • Assist in the creation of fundraising pages for 160+ Hillels and sit on a team with others to help Hillels navigate those pages.
  • Manage fundraising data to ensure Hillels receive the proper transfer of funds from their fundraising efforts.
  • Draft movement-wide communications associated with Hillel Global Giving Week.
  • Opportunities for cross functional and departmental collaboration, primarily working with Hillel’s Campaign Services departments, in addition to working with a variety of Advancement team professionals. 
  • Other tasks and projects associated with the Advancement Field Services as needed.

Qualified Applicants Will Bring

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details are a must
  • Knowledge of Google Drive and Microsoft Excel, and must have the ability and desire to learn other online platforms and databases as needed

  • This internship is 10-12 hours a week, with a start date of as soon as possible through May 15.
