Organization Description

Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) actively promotes care in the Jewish community through its volunteer-led women's and youth centers and programs. With over 800 projects, programs, and institutions, WIZO provides crucial social services, support, welfare, early learning, and educational solutions to create an equal Israeli society. WIZO's care network includes shelters for battered women, foster homes, youth villages, day care centers, and comprehensive care for vulnerable children and youth.

We have an immediate opening for a Community Outreach & Engagement Specialist who will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community members, and for initiating and organizing activities, events, and programs.

Role Description

  • Develop and implement various initiatives, programs, marketing, and fundraising campaigns, to raise awareness and increase community engagement
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing donors through networking and prospecting.
  • Create goals and objectives in order to approach relevant communities through appropriate channels.
  • Collaborate with the organization's team to develop website content and create social posts for promotion of organization programs and events. 
  • Plan and execute activities and events in collaboration with team members.
  • Coordinate logistics for fundraising organization's events and activities.
  • Participate in the development of collateral materials including program brochures, handouts, and educational materials. 
  • Establish content, edit submissions, and work in coordination with the organization's graphic design. 
  • Ensure Organization's partners and sponsors are recognized appropriately according to donor agreements. 
  • Utilize Customer Relations Management system for report creation and constituent communications.
  • Be involved in preparing the organization's e-newsletter, e-blasts, and other marketing materials. 


  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Experience in community support and engagement.
  • Knowledge of the non-profit world and the Jewish community.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in sales, marketing and PR is a plus.
Salary53,000.00 - 56,000.00 Annual
