Finance Manager

The Finance Manager oversees all aspects of the school’s finances with primary responsibilities of strategic financial planning, budgeting, accounting and reporting. This Finance Manager works closely with the Head of School, Executive Director and the Board of Directors and serves as a key staff member in maintaining the fiscal integrity of the school.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the school
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
• Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Oversee cash management and account reconciliations
• Manage QuickBooks
• Monitor cash flow and expense management
• Conduct bank reconciliation and accruals
• Manage budget preparation and provide budget to actual reporting
• Work with external auditors to complete annual audit prep/financials
• Provide internal and external reporting as needed
• Perform other related duties as requested

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
• Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with administration and lay leaders
• Excellent judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Strong demonstrated use of QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and database software
• Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, and common sense
