Jewish Family Service of Clifton-Passaic (JFS) is a fast growing mental health and social services agency, developing new programs and hiring additional staff.   Therapists enjoy working here because of the high clinical caliber, ongoing trainings, excellent supervisors and warm, supportive environment. 

JFS works with families, children and adults, ensuring access to affordable, high quality mental health and social services.  Project SARAH assists survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse throughout the State of New Jersey.  The program provides outreach and prevention work for the Jewish community, comprehensive therapy, case management services, and legal assistance to survivors in need. 
 

Job Summary:
The Director of Project SARAH is responsible for the clinical, operational, PR and financial aspects of the program.  The Director works closely with the Executive Director, oversees approximately 6 clinicians and 4 community/outreach coordinators, and works closely with other clinical and administrative managers within JFS.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Director provides clinical and administrative oversight to assigned staff.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Project SARAH has the following responsibilities: 

  1. Manage operations of the 3 core services of Project SARAH: clinical/case management, outreach/education and legal support.
  2. Oversee Public Relations and Marketing including planning of events.
  3. Collaborate with community partners and donors.
  4. Assist in fundraising efforts.
  5. Foster relationships with lay leaders and partners in community including the establishment and governance of committees.
  6. Represent and advocate for Project SARAH at federal and statewide meetings.
  7. Make presentations to schools, camps and other stakeholders.
  8. Clinical supervision.
  9. Trauma-informed clinical interventions.


Additional duties:
 

  1. Manage day-to-day operations of the program, including the timely submission of required reports, documentation and correspondence.
  2. Recruit, hire, and make personnel decisions regarding supervisors and staff.
  3. Oversee training, supervision and case conferences that enhance clinical work, increase productivity/morale, and support agency mission & ethos.
  4. Attend to staff performance and identify areas of training needed.
  5. Define, measure, and evaluate program performance data.
  6. Ensure proper fulfillment of grant and donor requirements.
  7. Address compliance with all applicable regulations.
  8. Create and oversee continuous service improvement, based on performance data.
  9. Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Education and Experience
:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in a mental health related field from an accredited school
  • Licensure to practice mental health in New Jersey
  • Work experience in mental health settings
  • Community organization experience
  • Fundraising experience preferred
