Zelda’s Catering, a premier off-premises catering company, is seeking a manager to help launch our new retail gourmet experience – Zelda’s Table. The ideal candidate is personable, creative, organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, and an eye for innovative product display.

Store Set Up / Initial Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on completion of the Zelda’s Table product line.
  • Liaison with our graphic designer to finalize new Zelda’s Table packaging, labeling, and other branded materials.
  • Collaborate with our development team on marketing literature.
  • Help develop store PARs.
  • Assist our web designer with set up and integration of product line, online ordering, and POS systems.
  • Staff training / prepare for store opening.
  • Learn Zelda’s event planning software systems.
  • Other related duties as assigned by management.

After Store Opening

  • Receive, direct and assist in-store visitors and phone customers.
  • Provide exceptional service for new and recurring accounts, while receiving, processing and entering orders into catering and event planning software, communicating customer needs to Zelda’s culinary and events teams.
  • Oversee staff at the new Zelda’s Table location.
  • Oversee and participate in day-to-day Zelda’s Table operations, including display setups, stocking, organizing and assisting in production during peak times.
  • Cultivate event orders from Zelda’s Table clientele.
  • Maintain and help adjust Zelda’s Table product line and PARs to meet customer needs and attract new clientele.
  • Develop company opportunities through relationship networking, new client inquiries, and cultivating existing and new company clients.
  • Other related duties as assigned by management.  

Requirements:

  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain professional image and demeanor.
  • Demonstrate an uncompromising approach to client satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of catering industry practices and procedures a plus.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a comparable environment, with a demonstrated track record of success.

Benefits & Compensation:

  • Annual base salary: $65,000-75,000.
  • 10 paid flex days off per calendar year, plus additional paid days off for major Jewish Holidays on which the company’s office and retail store are closed.
