Position:         Marketing Director                         

Department:  Marketing     

           

Reports to:     Chief Development Officer           FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: The Marketing Director position reports directly to the Chief Development Officer and involves a blend of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and leadership. The candidate will have demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide marketing strategies, driving business outcomes, and enhancing brand reputation.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field, required. Master’s degree, preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office Suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ), preferred.
  • Deep expertise across paid marketing (e.g., Google, Meta), Social Media management tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social), and owned channels (SEO/Content CRO, Email/SMS).

Qualifications:

 

  • 7+ years of experience in B2C marketing, branding, social, content, and/or digital content development and strategy.
  • Knowledge of content management platforms and WordPress.
  • Senior Living Marketing experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Jewish holidays and customs helpful but not required.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  2. Detail-oriented, with exceptional project management skills to balance multiple priorities seamlessly.
  3. Drive referrals to all business lines by planning, overseeing, and managing all integrated marketing and communications efforts for the overarching JHL brand and the seven different business lines, which include print, website, social media channels, and advertising.
  4. Play a pivotal role in enhancing brand visibility and industry recognition, engaging target audiences, and driving growth through innovation and strategic marketing campaigns.
  5. Utilize audience segmentation, analytics, and journey mapping to guide content, messaging, and campaign development.
  6. Guide the development and optimization of campaigns across digital, print, experiential, and traditional media in coordination with the internal team and marketing partners.
  7. Utilize insights from internal analytics and external market research to inform marketing strategies and assess ROI.
  8. Liaise with stakeholders across all business lines to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing strategies.
  9. Develop advertising and public relations strategy for all business lines and the overarching brand.
  10. Direct and participate in the design of flyers, direct mail pieces, website, advertising, and other print and digital marketing collateral in coordination with internal teams, marketing partners, and operational leaders.
  11. Support Development team on donor-related marketing and online giving opportunities.
  12. Support marketing operations to achieve Jewish HomeLife’s mission.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

 

Physical Requirements:   Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; ability to sit for 80% of the day; ability to stand for long periods of time as needed (i.e. for events, etc.)

 

Mental Requirements: Ability to focus for extensive period of time on computer work, ability to analyze data, participate in virtual and face to face meetings as necessary.
