Position Summary: The PJ Library Coordinator is responsible for working with our Director of Family Engagement to administer and grow PJ Library book subscriptions and recruit, mentor, and oversee a robust network of PJ Library Family Connectors across the state, helping connectors develop inclusive, engaging micro-communities and programming for local families raising Jewish children.
Additionally, this position will foster community-building and strengthen the connections of families with young children to the vibrant Jewish community in Colorado by providing books and resources for community partners to enhance their programming, connecting newcomers in our community to PJ Library Family Connectors and their local neighborhood programming, and increasing awareness and visibility of PJ Library programing and resources through the monthly PJ Library Newsletter and social media channels.
The PJ Library Coordinator is an active member of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation PJ Library Program Professionals network, participating in network calls, sharing local successes, and maintaining relationships with the larger national and international PJ Library community.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Subscriptions: 10%
- Oversee, manage, and grow local PJ Library subscriptions, through promoting, monitoring, tracking, and reporting on PJ Library activities and impact
- Welcome new subscribers and connect them to PJ Library and other resources at JEWISHcolorado and in the greater Jewish community
- PJ Library Family Connectors: 60%
- Recruit PJ Library Family Connector positions across the state as needed.
- Onboard, coach, and mentor PJ Library Family Connectors
- Connecting PJ Library Family Connectors with families in their localities
- Work with PJ Library Family Connectors to welcome newcomers through JEWISHcolorado’s newcomers program
- Track and monitor effectiveness of PJ Library Family Connector engagement opportunities
- Establish a regular cadence of one-on-one and group meetings with PJ Library Family Connectors
- Manage tracking system for all connectors through which they will submit invoices and payment request forms and all related billing needs
- Community Engagement: 15%
- Work with Director of Family Engagement to successfully increase awareness of and incorporate PJ Library into Family Engagement programs and broader Jewish community programming
- Support and mentor PJ Library partner organizations and Jewish community professionals through sharing PJ Library books and resources
- Actively connect PJ Library families with programs and broader Jewish community organizations and resources
- Communications and Administration: 15%
- Maintain ongoing relationship with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) through regular communication with HGF professionals and attendance at annual PJ Library conference
- Work with the Communications team to develop strategies for weekly and monthly outreach and ongoing engagement with PJ Library and PJ Our Way families, utilizing social media and other marketing and communication channels
- Create and send digital monthly JEWISHcolorado PJ Library Newsletter (template provided by PJ Library National)
- Apply for and manage PJ Library and other relevant grant opportunities
- Work with Advancement Team to secure PJ Library gifts, sponsorships, and grants
- Manage PJ library billing and invoicing
- Manage and update:
- PJ Library Little Free Library on a regular basis
- PJ Library bookstand
- PJ Library book closet and storage room supplies

- Availability to represent and enthusiastically promote PJ Library at community events, including some weekends and evenings
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with social media, Microsoft Office, Dynamics, Canva, and other technology
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a related field such as Jewish Education, Jewish Communal Service, Early Childhood Education, or Family Engagement
- Experience with coaching, mentoring or managing volunteers or professionals
Salary: $57,000 per year. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, FSA, HSA, HRA, health, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, gym membership, 401(k) match.
Position Type: This position requires 4 days/week in person as well as some night and weekend programming, community-partnered programming, meetings, and active participation in programs that occur outside of a traditional work schedule for a total of 37.5-hour per week, exempt. This role is also available as a part-time position.
