Description

Looking for a part-time Bookkeeper/Office Assistant for a Reform Synagogue located in Northeast Queens.


Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks is mandatory
  • Extensive experience with data entry and recordkeeping;
  • Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi task.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and entering deposits into QuickBooks
  • Timely processing of vendor invoices and preparation of checks for payment
  • Processing credit card transactions for dues/donations/other payments and entering in the general ledger
  • Resolution of billing discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Answering phones
  • Maintaining and filing records
  • Ordering supplies
    Hours:
    Wednesday and Friday: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:30 am to 4:30 pm

Compensation: $15/hr
