Technology Integration and AI Specialist

Yeshiva Day School, serving Kindergarten through 8th Grade, located in Nassau County, NY, is seeking an inspiring, engaging, and highly motivated Technology Integration and AI Specialist who will build upon the foundation we have created and lead us to fulfill our pedagogical and programmatic potential.

The Technology Integration and AI Specialist is primarily tasked with coaching instructional staff on the effective and consistent integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology into teaching and learning processes, while also providing guidance and support to students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. This role involves expertise in observation, training, pedagogical strategies for AI integration, and content delivery tailored to both adult and child learners. The AI Integration Specialist collaborates with instructional staff at the school level to plan, co-teach, and model strategies for integrating AI. Essential duties include:

• Collaborating with instructional teams to incorporate AI standards for each grade level into classroom learning.
• Assisting in curriculum development for AI integration.
• Identifying AI integration goals and priorities in collaboration with leadership, and providing coaching, training, and resources to support professional growth.
• Maintaining current knowledge of effective instructional and coaching pedagogies in the realm of AI.
• Designing, developing, and managing AI solutions for classrooms, such as AI-powered educational platforms.
• Creating learner-driven activities and environments that leverage AI technologies to accommodate learner variability.
• Encouraging faculty and students to explore AI applications for innovative learning opportunities.
• Facilitating AI-based learning experiences to support student achievement of AI competency standards.
• Promoting a positive learning environment with behavioral management techniques suited to AI-enhanced learning settings.
• Inspiring student learning and creativity by connecting AI principles to real-world applications.
• Monitoring AI usage for students according to school policy and teaching AI ethics and responsible AI use.
• Providing support for faculty use of AI-powered educational tools and platforms.
• Offering troubleshooting and problem-solving support for AI-related issues to faculty, staff, and students.
