Service Leader

Kol HaNeshamah, a 50-family egalitarian traditional synagogue in Englewood, NJ, seeks to hire one or more leaders to assist lay leadership in running Shabbat and/or holiday services. Position begins July 2024. There may also be an opportunity for leading High Holiday services.

Candidates should be skilled at leading tefillah, giving divrei Torah, and reading Torah (generally 20-35 p’sukim).   Our community includes several ritually skilled members who will assist in leading services.

We are seeking candidates who can commit to leading services once or twice a month. The exact number of weeks and schedule to be determined.  

Rabbinic ordination is preferred, but not required.
