Hebrew Language and Literature Teacher

The Ramaz Upper School, a Modern Orthodox Yeshiva day school, is looking for a full-time teacher for Hebrew Language and Literature for the upcoming school year. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about sharing skills and expertise in the Hebrew language and Israeli culture, and who will share a love for Medinat Yisrael.

Candidates must have a work permit. 

Candidates should have:

1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials from an accredited institution (North America or Israel) is preferred.
2. Experience teaching Hebrew as a second language
3. Experience teaching at the high school level
4. A full command of Hebrew at a level of mother tongue.
5. A strong understanding of Israeli history, literature, and culture.
6. Ability and willingness to work with students in various group settings, using multiple teaching methods.
7. Commitment to meaningful collaboration with colleagues.
8. Excellent communication skills and commitment to keeping parents informed and engaged.
9. Interest in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning
10. Ability to be self-reflective and committed to learning from feedback received from colleagues, administrators, and students.
