Position Overview
Golda Och Academy is seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Judaic Studies Teacher to join our Early Childhood program. This educator will create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where young children develop Hebrew language skills while exploring Jewish traditions, culture, and values through play-based learning.
Hebrew fluency is required. Native Hebrew speakers and Israeli-trained educators are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate Hebrew-language early childhood curriculum
- Provide Hebrew immersion through songs, storytelling, play, art, and movement
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and language development
- Integrate Jewish holidays, traditions, and values into daily classroom experiences
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Observe and document student growth and development
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Hebrew, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Fluency in Hebrew (spoken and written) required
- Experience working with early childhood-aged children
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate early childhood practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for Jewish education and community engagement
- Experience in a Hebrew immersion, Gan, or Jewish early childhood setting preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Faculty must be able to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may include:

- Using classroom and office technology
- Communicating effectively in person and in writing
Work takes place in classrooms, offices, and other active school settings.
