The Noreen Cook Center for Early Childhood Education (NCCECE) at Har Zion Temple is seeking loving, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join our full-time preschool faculty for the 2025–2026 school year.
Our preschool is a warm and inclusive Jewish learning environment where we support the social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development of every child. As an Assistant Teacher, you will help nurture a love of learning through play-based discovery, creativity, and connection — all while being a valued part of our collaborative teaching team.
Support lead teachers in the classroom with daily activities, routines, and supervision
Help implement a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum
Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Build positive relationships with students, families, and fellow staff
Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, materials preparation, and transitions
Communicate with professionalism and warmth with families and colleagues
Attend school meetings, trainings, and occasional special events
Experience working with young children in a school or daycare setting
Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing personality
Ability to collaborate and follow direction from lead teachers and school administrators
High school diploma required; CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
Familiarity with Jewish traditions and holidays is a plus, but not required
