Director of Project and Program Management

COO Pillar; Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer

The Director of Project and Program Management will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer, managing key initiatives, and providing direct support across the pillar. Key responsibilities include leading and managing projects as directed by the COO, developing project plans, setting timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure goals are met. The Director will serve as a liaison between the COO and various individuals and teams across the organizations to foster collaboration and alignment on strategic initiatives and will assist the COO in implementing, monitoring and evaluating special projects. This position is completely remote and is open to candidates based in the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee special projects for the Pillar as directed by the COO, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to develop project plans, set objectives and establish timelines. Maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders, keeping them informed of project progress.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other materials as needed. 
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to stakeholders, including the C-team and leadership.
  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to help prioritize tasks, manage schedule and ensure preparation for meetings and engagements, including scheduling meetings and attending meetings when needed for notes & follow-up support
  • Lead the efforts and manage systems for tracking and reporting programmatic activities and outcomes through the creation of an organizational goals dashboard, regular project updates, and strategic communications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management, change management, business administration, or a related field; PMP certification preferred
  • A systems-based mindset, with commitment to systemic (and not just project) interventions

  • Analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information and share it effectively with others.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and general tech-savvy
  • An organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven record of building productive working relationships.
