 Program Associate

The Mandel Institute for Nonprofit Leadership seeks a Program Associate for our Brookline office. The Program Associate’s responsibilities will include:

  • administrative support for Mandel Institute programs
  • research and development support for Mandel Institute programs, including case studies, action research projects and other curricular elements
  • scheduling support for Mandel Institute senior staff
  • management of social media posts
  • layout and design of e-newsletter
  • general office work

Candidates should have excellent administrative, organizational and communications skills and an outstanding capacity for team-work.  Additional skills include knowledge of Microsoft Office and a capacity to learn additional business and educational software platforms; self-direction, effective time-management and a capacity for multi-tasking; and attention to detail in all aspects of professional work.  A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is required. Knowledge of the Jewish nonprofit and/or arts and culture ecosystem served by Mandel Institute programs is preferred.  

The Program Associate will report to the Associate Director and work closely with other members of the Institute staff. The Program Associate will frequently interact with Mandel Institute fellows, graduates, faculty members, mentors, outside vendors, and members of the wider Mandel Foundation community.

The Mandel Institute is an arm of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation. The Program Associate will be employed by the Foundation. The position is full-time and includes employee benefits (see below). Annual salary is competitive, within a range of $52,000-$57,000. Applicant must live within a reasonable commute of office location and a hybrid work option is available.
