Location: Glen Cove, New York

Schedule: Sundays 10:00 - 12:30

Organization: Limud Hebrew School

Do you have a deep love for Judaism and a warm, engaging personality that inspires children?

The Limud Hebrew School is seeking a passionate Morah to teach our 1st and 2nd grade students. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the next generation’s Jewish identity in a joyful and supportive environment.

About Us

Our students (ages 4 - 17) attend public schools and come from diverse Jewish backgrounds. Our program fosters a warm community where children build a love for and pride in their individual Jewish Identities.  The robust curriculum focuses on teaching the Hebrew language, holidays, customs and commandments, values and traditions, as well as prayer and a love for our homeland, Israel.

Why Teach With Us

Join a supportive, collaborative teaching team where you’ll have access to a creative, engaging curriculum and excellent resources. With small class sizes, you can build meaningful connections and make a lasting impact in just a few hours each week.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with a strong personal connection to Jewish identity and values, experience working with children, and knowledge of Jewish traditions, Torah, and Hebrew reading. The ideal teacher will create interactive, hands-on lessons that inspire curiosity and joy while bringing a warm, enthusiastic, and patient teaching style to the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with our curriculum
  • Foster a caring classroom environment that supports both individual growth and community building
  • Inspire students to embrace Jewish life in and out of the classroom
  • Collaborate with school leadership and other faculty members
  • Communicate with families about student progress and upcoming activities
