The Orthodox Union (OU) is the largest Orthodox Jewish organization in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.
Job Description:
The Director will be responsible for cultivating relationships and increasing the financial commitments of existing Teach supporters in the four to six figure range, as well as inspiring new community members to become significant financial supporters. The Director is also responsible for growing a strong grassroots movement focused on advocacy and voting. As part of a growing community engagement team, the Director will be supported by the state and national office. A successful Director has a proven track record in sales, client relations, fundraising, or a similar field.
