Role Overview

Hillel at Brandeis serves one of the most vibrant and diverse Jewish campus communities in the country. Through a dynamic mix of learning, leadership, culture, and community-building, we empower students to explore Jewish life with depth, creativity, and joy.

We are seeking an organized and personable operations administrator who will work closely with the Executive Director, Assistant Director, and the rest of the Hillel staff to organize and implement the logistics that make it possible for our day-to-day operations to run smoothly.  The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks at a time, and the desire to work closely with a dedicated team of professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Keep track of and maintain our inventory of relevant office and event supplies
  • Maintain the order and organization of our shared spaces, including but not limited to, our office, student lounge, and supply closet(s)
  • Manage and maintain the main Brandeis Hillel phone line and email account in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
  • Master Hillel-wide systems, including but not limited to Heart, the Events Platform, and Coupa
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director to organize and implement large-scale events, including but not limited to weekly Shabbat dinners, High Holidays and other festivals, Family Weekend, and Commencement
    • Book campus Lodge rooms, communicate with scholars-in-residence and other guests who are visiting over Shabbat and holidays, keep track of guest lists for RSVP events, manage visiting prospective students/families, and other tasks related to maintaining a hospitable and welcoming atmosphere for VIPs, students, and families alike
  • Support the Executive and Assistant Directors in the management of organizational finances, including but not limited to the use of Ramp, Coupa, and other relevant platforms

What You’ll Bring to the Job

  • 1-2+ years of experience in a related role (office administration, university operations, executive assistantship)
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Experience working with professional staff in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Professionalism, creativity, and emotional intelligence
  • Experience with/the desire to learn about Jewish communal spaces

What You’ll Receive

  • Annual salary of $40,000-$45,000, commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package
