Role Overview

Make your mark on Jewish student life by joining Central Florida Hillel (CFH) as our Engagement Associate. You will help to drive CFH forward by implementing, with excellence, on a day-to-day basis. As you lead people and programs, you’ll help every student on campus connect to Jewish life, learning and Israel. We are looking for a team player that will have the opportunity to engage one of the nation’s largest Jewish Student populations on a college campus. With over 6,000 Jewish students attending UCF, the opportunities are limitless.

You will have the opportunity to build off our new vision of Engagement and Programming. You will be expected to build one-on-one relationships with students, put on memorable events, and help inspire students to make a commitment to Jewish life

What You’ll Do

  • Work with student leaders to implement a wide range of programs, including Shabbat and holiday celebrations, social opportunities, social justice projects, Jewish learning opportunities, career readiness programming, community service and meaningful Jewish experiences.
  • Advance student programming by identifying potential student leaders
  • Utilize data to ensure a strategic approach to building Jewish life and community on campus
  • Serve as a Jewish resource to students and groups on campus
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of Hillel space

On a Day to Day Basis You Will

  • Coffee with students to further their engagement
  • Facilitating a program planning meeting with a group of students for an upcoming event
  • Staff Shabbat and holiday programming, assisting with discussions, rituals, and celebrations
  • Ensure Hillel space is prepared and set up for upcoming programs and events

What You’ve Accomplished

  • 0-2 years student leadership or professional experience in Jewish leadership programs
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Creating structures and opportunities that assist and empower students to take initiative and ownership for their communities
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach others to achieve outcomes

What You’ll Receive

  • Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary range for this role is $42,000 - $45,000
