BETC Senior Youth Group Advisor

Beth El Temple Center (BETC) in Belmont, MA, is seeking a Youth Advisor to our thriving Senior Youth Group (BEFTY) of 8th - 12th graders. The candidate should be outgoing and friendly with great communication skills, a  passion for Judaism and a love of working with teens. This is a ten month (Sept - June) salaried position approximately 20 - 25 hours a month, typically nights and weekends.  The advisor will:

• Work closely with the BETC Youth Committee, Director of Education, and temple leaders to implement the BETC Youth Program vision 
• Advise BEFTY Board on planning, organizing, publicizing, and execution of events
• Attend all BEFTY events and activities
• Increase participation of BETC youth in youth group activities 
• Mentor BETC youth to become strong Jewish leaders who use Jewish ideals and ethics in their daily decision-making
