THE JOB:

We are looking for a part-time (approx. 4 hours/month) Fellowship Coordinator to help lead the Arizona Jews for Justice Teen Fellowship. This program seeks to create a space where young Jewish change-makers are provided the tools they need to put Torah learning into action and make a difference in the Greater Phoenix community. The focus of the program is to combat antisemitism and hate while also promoting service and social action. Fellows gather monthly for an hour-long, in-person meeting filled with community-building, learning and service. The Fellowship Coordinator will be responsible for planning and facilitating monthly sessions as well as providing personalized mentorship for each participant. Responsibilities may also include marketing and reporting, and recruitment and selection of future cohorts. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- prepare lesson plans for monthly group learning sessions, as well as facilitate and lead each session

- coordinate and execute group service projects for the fellowship

- invite guest speakers to engage with the group when appropriate

- share fellowship updates internally and externally

- manage communication between participants

- track participation and assist with fellowship related administrative duties and marketing

 

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

- is passionate about Jewish learning

- cares deeply about social justice

- has a background in leadership development

- enjoys making connections and building relationships

- has some experience in the areas of program facilitation, volunteer management, community building, and mentorship

 

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- college degree or equivalent years of work experience

- proficient use of Google Suite and Zoom

- organized self-starter who is able to work independently

- open to flexible work hours (monthly meetings are held on Sundays)

 

THE POSITION:

- approx 4 hours per month

- $100/month

- potential for growth

- must be based in AZ
