Facilities & Events Coordinator

Congregation Bonai Shalom is looking for a talented and motivated Facilities & Events Coordinator who can oversee the facilities, including maintenance and support event planning and implementation. The ideal candidate is well organized and is able to build and maintain professional relationships.  Attention to detail and communication skills are essential to the success of the position. The Facilities & Events Coordinator maintains the physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment. They support event planning for Bonai Shalom in coordination with the office and school. 

Qualifications:

Experience managing facilities

Experience with event planning and coordination

Have a solid working knowledge of office systems and equipment

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other general desktop applications. 

Familiar with CRM or customer database programs (ShulCloud a plus)

Have excellent organizational skills

Must be self-directed and self-motivated

Be able to maintain confidentiality and trust in all congregational matters

Be courteous and tactful in all relationships

Must exhibit professional attitude and attire

 

Bonus: Have knowledge of Judaism, Jewish holidays, and calendar. 

 

Duties:

Facilities

  • Lead and coordinate facilities maintenance (Bonai Shalom & Rabbi’s House)
  • Collect bids, ensure facilities contracts are in place, coordinate and communicate with contractors (Landscaping, electrician, pest control, western disposal, cleaning service, water, warranty, etc.)
  • Track maintenance and facilities tasks and projects 
  • Inventory and order office supplies and other supplies as needed
  • Complete regular facilities set up for school and special events
  • Maintain Internal calendar for facilities needs
  • Support facility related security grant projects 

Events

  • Create event forms on ShulCloud including holidays and classes
  • Create registration for events and classes and tracking
  • Communicate with event organizers
  • Set up livestreams and zoom meetings for events
  • Print for events
  • Setup for events
  • Make name tags 
  • Decorate as needed

Admin/Other

  • Admin Support for Hebrew School
  • High Holiday and other holiday support 
  • G'niza Management
  • Join committee meetings as needed
  • Manage volunteers as needed

 

** This position requires some work on evenings, weekends and Jewish holidays.
